Women's Rights- A Struggle Towards Suffrage (1807-1920)

The Consequences

There were many consequences from the Nineteenth Amendment being ratified.

Such as:
  • Women realized they had more freedom and began to challenge traditional ways.
  • More women had jobs outside of their home and worked after marriage.
  • Some women commenced to have professional careers.
  • Some women ran for election to political offices.
  • Some women became flapper-carefree women that had short hair and wore an excessive amount of makeup and short skirts.
  • Pictures of flappers in magazines inspired more women to change.
